Magnetic polish! Essie Sssssexy and Magnetic Force Electro Midnight by Color Club

So for today's post I have some magnetic nail polish to show you. These are the first magnetic nail polishes I've ever gotten so I will show pictures and then review them, but since I have no other polishes to compare them to, my opinions about magnetic polishes are based on just these two polishes. Here is a picture of the polishes in the bottle.

Sorry that the picture is so dark, it's night and there's really bad lighting in my house so I couldn't get a better picture. The colors are actually pretty close to how they are in person. Essie Sssssexy is a metallic iron man red color, and Color Club Electro Midnight is a really silvery metallic blue. Magnetic polishes always look completely silver/metallic in the bottle but the actual polish is a lot brighter and ever more vibrant after top coat. First to show you is Essie Sssssexy which is part of their snakeskin magnetic collection.

So if you noticed, Essie Sssssexy's bottle comes with the magnetic snakeskin print cap that can be removed. Unlike Color Club, the Essie polish doesn't have a small stand on the cap, that lets you hover the magnet over the polish without messing up the magnet effect. Along with that, I noticed that the Essie magnet cap wasn't very strong at all! In fact... I couldn't even use it on my nails! The wavy magnetic effect came from the cap of the Color Club polish. The snakeskin effect Essie promises looks so beautiful, but it didn't work for me at all! I think it might work for someone with short nails, because I noticed that only the middle of the magnet was actually strong enough to create the snakeskin effect. So, what I was left with was this messy looking manicure with snakeskin pattern in only the middle of my nails. Huge bummer. I will review the Color Club Polish and talk more about the Essie polish in tomorrow's post.

Odd Future nails!

So, today's mani is inspired by Odd Future. Along with the pictures of my nails, I will post pictures of what I was inspired by. So first to show you, the pictures that inspired me!

This picture was the inspiration for my thumb.
This picture was the inspiration for my index and middle finger. Okay, now on to the pictures of my nails!

I really like how these turned out. What do you think of this mani? Let me know in the comments below!

Leopard print nail art with rhinestone heart feat. Essie Bond With Whomever

Hello readers! So today I have a leopard print mani with a rhinestone heart on the accent nail. Essie Bond With Whomever is such a pretty and summery lilac creme. All pictures show two coats of Essie Bond With Whomever with free handed leopard print and topcoat. Today's post will be picture heavy so stay tuned!

This picture was taken under artificial light.

And this last picture was taken in direct sunlight:)

Fimo fruit nails!

Follow me on Instagram! Since this blog is new, you can find many more of my designs on my instagram account @yazmin_nat. Also, I did the popular fimo fruit manicure! They're so summery looking :) Yellow polishes are always difficult to work with in my opinion, so the yellow in this manicure was very thick and made the gradient difficult to achieve. Other then that I really love this simple manicure! I will soon post a review of some Essie polishes I've recently purchased. What do you think of this mani? Let me know!

Better shot of leopard print french mani:)

Today's post is just a quick close up of my leopard print mani. This picture was taken under artificial light and the leopard print came out really good here. The gold polish used in this mani is Maybelline's Color Show in shade 70 Bold Gold.  The leopard is black and brown acrylic paint.

Detailed nail art with rhinestones!:)

I really love this design, the red used here is China Glaze Salsa and is actually darker than this in person. Since China Glaze Salsa was darker and not as vibrant as I wanted it to be, I applied a thin coat of  Rimmel London 60 Seconds Vinyl Shine in shade 824 Pillar Box. The Rimmel London polish is a bright candy apple jelly which wouldn't reach full opacity on it's own. The result was this bright candy apple red with a jelly like shine. All of the small designs were done using black and white acrylic paint.

Silver! :)

Leopard Print!

Leopard print mani with rhinestones! This picture came out really blurry and the leopard print didn't come out so good in this picture. Bummer, but you can see how sparkly the rhinestones are! I'll post a better pic of this mani soon and will mention the polishes used in this mani as well.
